Our Vision
Launched in February 2010, Spicers is a boutique hotel group which aims to raise the bar in Australian luxury – combining the individuality, service and privacy of a bed and breakfast, with the style, quality and luxury standards of a grand international hotel.
With six award-winning destinations less than 2 hours' drive from Brisbane, and one in the Hunter Valley, each Spicers destination offers an exclusive, private escape from the world.
At Spicers we strive to provide luxurious but welcoming properties, with each offering something totally different to other retreats but also to each other within the group. Every property is different, yet they all share a dedication to providing luxury accommodation and a level of world-class service that is both friendly and professional.
Each Spicers destination explores a unique take on luxury – from country cottages at Spicers Hidden Vale to French suites at Spicers Clovelly Estate, from rainforest villas at Spicers Tamarind Retreat to the highest non-alpine lodge in Australia, Spicers Peak Lodge, and from inner-city artistic style at Spicers Balfour Hotel to an eco-luxury tentsite at Spicers Canopy or wine country luxury at Spicers Vineyards Estate – every Spicers destination is a truly unique, memorable experience.

Australian-owned The Spicers Group is privately owned by Jude and Graham Turner and managed by a small executive team and just over 100 team members across the retreats. Jude Turner plays a central role in the Spicers vision - sourcing, designing and styling the retreats - while her husband, Graham, brings his wealth of travel industry experience as co-founder of Flight Centre Pty Ltd and other successful international businesses. |
