“We attended Spicers Canopy 5 star camping resort for my 40th birthday. We chose this sight as something different to do with 6 of our friends. It turned out to be one of the most enjoyable nights any of us had for a very long time. The bushwalk in, the food and drinks and the accommodation were absolutely first class. I cannot praise the facilities and staff highly enough. They provided a perfect atmosphere for all of us to enjoy what was a perfect night and a perfect 40th birthday party. I highly recommend the resort as a perfect venue for a party or just to get away and relax.” Phil Watts, Townsville, Qld

“Spicers Canopy provided my family with one of the most memorable times we have ever had. Thank you for the outstanding food and service.” Sue, QLD
“We walked through the wilderness, and then we arrived at "the promised Land" ...or was it "the promised Camp". From the moment we arrived to the moment we reluctantly left, the team served up great food and wine, warm smiles and 5 star genuine service...even the weather was perfect! We did not want to leave, and we can't wait to come back!” Dianne, QLD
“This experience was absolutely memorable - one of the best short stays I have ever had.” Anon
“We would love to come back again. It was a great venue for a family get together and ideal to have the place to ourselves. We will treasure the memories we made at Spicers Canopy forever.” Anon
“From the moment we walked up the track to be greeted by smiling staff with cool drinks and hot scones, and the most welcoming pit fire I have ever seen, we knew we were going to be spoilt. And spoilt we were - nothing was too much trouble. Lisa the female hostess was just so lovely. Her attention to detail in table settings and service was just excellent. And of course, the meals were just wonderful - great variety, wonderful fresh produce. And we have to give Head Chef Ashley a big cheer for the hour or so he spent cooking pizzas with the children. What a champion! And the little trip outside to the garden, and pulling the "fresh carrots" out of the soil, was just gold! The children and their mothers just loved it!” Anon
“It was the time, the place and the atmosphere that made it all an excellent experience.” Anon
“Ash and Emma were outstanding. They engaged with us and nothing was ever too much trouble. Every meal was perfectly suited to our large group. The kids cooking school was superb! Ash and Emma are an asset to your team and clearly very talented and passionate about what they're doing. Thank you both for making our stay so special!” Anon
“Our guide Russell was amazing. His wealth of knowledge and the breadth of his experience enriched the bush walking.” Anon

“What a fantastic and unique property. It was so nice to get out of the city. The food, hospitality and property in general were out of this world. They even presented me with a happy birthday message in my dessert. Cannot recommend Spicers Canopy enough.” Lauren, Bulimba

“Chris (chef) & Leasa (host) - wonderful food, manner, care, fun, professional, well-organised & helpful without being in the way. Russell (walk guide) - polite, friendly & fun, wealth of knowledge, very capable, professional. A great bonus Andrea (Front Office Mgr, Spicers Peak Lodge) - excellent manner & gave us a free tour of Peak Lodge, etc. She also joined us for the drive out on the last day. Luke (Operations Mgr), Emma (new chef) - met when introducing new chefs to Chris & Leasa (& us); Luke took care of us on our last morning which included late checkout & lunch. Friendly, full of info and professional. Emma provided a wonderful breakfast & was as welcoming, friendly & professional as everyone else – especially on her first day. All very welcoming and thoughtful. Thank you very much, we had a great stay.” Anon

“While the walk into the property was expected to be difficult, it was in fact lovely, informative and unique. Also loved the target shooting – a great activity while we had rainy weather.” Anon

“Our group of 19 (adults and children) had a fantastic time. From the moment we arrived for the start of our bushwalk, to meeting our amazing hosts, Chris and Leasa who were armed with hot scones and glasses of champagne, to when we sadly had to leave, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We ate, drank, hiked, rode horses, rode bikes, ate some more, read magazines, ran wild, toasted marshmallows, and saw the amazing Milky Way so clearly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Spicers Canopy as a getaway destination.” Anon
“Our families enjoyed two wonderful nights at Spicers Canopy. All of the children have not stopped talking about the visit and want us all to go back next holiday! Thanks Spicers - food, wine & experience was excellent.” Anon
“Thank you to all of the staff at Spicers Canopy, we had such a smooth-running event with the most delightful people to work with: from Kylie at our inital booking, to Russel's experience of the area and of course Leasa, Chris and team during the week. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere just perfect and the hospitality was first class.” Katie, Sydney
“Waking up to the dawn chorus is an experience like no other. It was such a wonderful, welcoming experience. We would recommend this to everyone.” Craig & Jennifer, Toowoomba
“To Leasa, Chris and Russell, although we only stayed for two nights at Spicers Canopy we left feeling as if we had been away for a week. Your professionalism was impressive and yet you were able to make us feel immediately at home, as if part of your family. The guided bush walks were educational, enjoyable, relaxing and challenging all at the same time. Perfect! Thank you Russell for sharing your stories with us. You are a true blue Aussie who it was an honour to meet. Leasa, there was nothing that was too much trouble for you. Your calm manner transfers to those you meet. Thank you for your understanding and wonderful hospitality. Chris, thank you for giving me a break from the kitchen!! My children loved spending time with you preparing the excellent meals we ate. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, creativity, patience and skill and for spoiling us rotten with fantastic food. I was expecting to be impressed by the Canopy and all it has to offer but it came as a lovely surprise that we were made to feel so at home that it was sad to leave. Hope to see you all again sometime in the future and thank you for giving us some wonderful family memories.” Jenny, John, Mostyn & Jack
