spicers private walk

From March to November, the company Hidden Peaks Walks operates Spicers Private Walk - a magificent private walk offering intimate contact with the unique animals, plants and landscape of Australia’s most exclusive private wildlife sanctuary and the World Heritage Listed Main Range National Park.

Spicers Private Walk is the perfect accompaniment to our safari-style Spicers Canopy experience and is greatly enjoyed by family, social and corporate groups.

Spicers Private Walk journeys into the realm of Australia’s much-loved birds, koalas and kangaroos. Walkers see wedge-tailed eagles soar against stunning sunsets and listen to expert guides share their love and understanding of the Australian bush.

In groups of 10, guests are guided along graded private trails by local ecology experts David Stent and Graham Hickson. David and Graham are passionate about the ecology of the region and are wonderfully engaging speakers.

As Accredited Advanced Ecotourism Operators, Hidden Peaks Walks group sizes are deliberately kept small to minimise the impact on this virtually pristine environment. Their Spicers Private Walk offering is of three or four-day duration with accommodation options at Spicers Canopy and luxurious Spicers Peak Lodge. Alternatively, a shorter half-day or full day walk can be arranged for guests at Spicers Canopy on request.

While guests are not required to possess a very high level of fitness, some preparation is necessary to ensure maximum enjoyment of this fascinating experience.
