SPICERS HIDDEN VALE

Situated on a 12,000 acre country farm in South East Queensland, Spicers Hidden Vale is less than a 60-minute drive from Brisbane on the Cunningham Highway and 50 minutes to the east of Toowoomba.

Detailed directions

Brisbane to Spicers Hidden Vale

1. From your location follow on to the Ipswich motor way heading west towards the Cunningham Highway.
2. Take the Cunningham Highway/Warwick exit and continue heading west.
3. Follow along and you will pass the Yamanto exit, keeping going straight along the highway. You will then merge right into a single lane, follow this until the Rosewood/Amberley turn off on your right hand side  
4. From here continue along Ipswich Rosewood road until to you reach the township of Rosewood.
5. Here you will see our sign on the left hand side letting you know 13km to go.
6. Turn right here on to School road.
7. Follow the road over the railway line and through the centre of town, when you come to the roundabout take the 1st left on to Rosewood/Laidley road.
8. Continue straight along until you come to a small township of Grandchester
9. Continue around the bend until you cross the railway line.
10. DO NOT TURN RIGHT, but continue up Mount Mort Road.
11. Continue up this road for 6km and the Retreat will be on your right with a big white gate and a Spicers sign.
12. Take the driveway through the white gates and continue up the dirt entrance until you come to a paved driveway
13. Continue until you see reception (about 50 metres on your left). Please park here short term whilst you are checking in.

Toowoomba to Spicers Hidden Vale

1. Exit Toowoomba following the Warrego Highway towards Brisbane
2. Continue for about 51 kms until you reach Plainland (there is a new overpass with a shopping centre on the left- Woolworths)
3. Exit left off the highway at Plainland, following the signs to Laidley (Laidley – Plainland Rd), and follow the overpass towards Laidley
4. Continue along this road for 9 kms and head through the township of Laidley – note speed limit is 40kms
5. About 3-4 kms after town you will reach a T intersection. (Laidley – Rosewood Rd)
6. Turn left here following signs to Grandchester.
7. Once over the range, about 10 kms, continue along until you see the welcome sign for Grandchester.
8. Continue and take the next right turn (Mt Mort Road). You will see sign for Spicers Hidden Vale, and then pass over the railway line.
9. Continue up this road for 6km and the Retreat will be on your right with a big white gate and a Spicers sign.
10. Take the driveway through the white gates and continue up the dirt entrance until you come to a paved driveway

Warrick to Spicers Hidden Vale

1. When leaving the town of Warrick continue onto he Cunningham high way heading towards Ipswich/ Brisbane.
2. Continue following along the highway all the way through to the Rosewood, Amberley turn off heading towards the RAFF base just before you head into Yamanto.  
3. Continue along Ipswich Rosewood  road until to you reach the township of Rosewood.
4. You will see our sign on the left hand sign letting youknow 13Km to go
5. Turn right here at the intersection on to School road.
6. Follow the road over the railway line and through the centre of town, when you come to the roundabout take the 1st left on to Rosewood/Laidley road.
7. Continue straight along until you come to a small township of Grandchester
8.   Continue around the bend until you cross the railway line.

Spicers Peak lodge to spicers hidden vale

1. On leaving Peak - Turn right heading back to towards Brisbane and the Cunningham highway.
2. Continue following along the highway all the way through to the Rosewood, Amberley turn off heading towards the RAFF base just before you head into Yamanto. 
3. Continue along Ipswich Rosewood road until to you reach the township of Rosewood.
4. You will see our sign on the left hand sign letting you know 13Km to go

10. 10.  We are 6 kms along on your right – look out for the big white gates. 

Spicers Hidden Vale to Spicers Peak Lodge

1. Turn left at the Entrance of Spicers Hidden Vale and head back towards Grandchester. Once you have reached Grandchester turn right towards Rosewood.
2. Follow the Rosewood Laidley Road until you reach the roundabout at Rosewood, turning right you will follow through the main street until you reach a T-Junction. Turn left.
3. Proceed along this road until you reach Cunningham Highway, follow the directions to Warwick.
4. When you reach the top of the Cunningham’s Gap, (do not take the sign to Spicers Gap – keep going and proceed along for about another 5km until you see a Service station on your left hand side.
5. Continue along and take the next turn to the left (about 4 km) into South Branch Road ( (approx 12 kms to the very top to the lodge)
6. Proceed up the hill and through the cattle grid.
7. Continue along this road and turn the next on the left- Gross Road and then right into Wilkinson Road.   Proceed straight along this road and up the Hill to the top
8. When you reach the top proceed to the Lodge which is the large building.
