Spicers Tamarind Retreat is uniquely situated next to Gardners Falls in a beautiful rainforest on a picturesque 18-acre property. Maleny is nestled in the gorgeous hills and countryside of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The nearby towns of Mapleton, Montville and Noosa and the Eumundi Markets (on Wednesdays and Saturdays) are wonderful to share with someone special at an unhurried pace.
NOTE: Please be aware that many GPS systems do not recognise Obi Lane SOUTH and will direct you to Obi Lane. Please follow the directions below.
Driving Directions
From Brisbane Airport
- On leaving the airport, proceed along Airport Drive following the signs for Sunshine Coast. Take the Gateway Motorway (M1) exit for the Sunshine Coast.
- Continue along M1 taking the overpass ramp onto the Bruce Highway (M1).
- Proceed north on the M1 for approx 30 minutes before taking the exit at Steve Irwin Way.
- Follow the signs towards Australia Zoo. Shortly after passing Australia Zoo follow the signs for Landsborough, turning left onto Railway Street. Cross the railway line, continuing straight until the roundabout.
- Take the right to Landsborough Maleny Rd, follow the signs for Maleny. Continue, passing the Montville turn off.
- After the Montville turn off, continue for approximately 1 km before turning right at Obi Lane South, which is signed for Gardners Falls. (Note - Obi Lane South is located on a bend and is approx 8 metres after Thynne Rd. Please proceed with caution and place right indicator on).
- Continue down Obi Lane South for approx 1 km then turn right into Spicers Tamarind Retreat which has a green pillar each side of the entrance. Follow along the track for approx 200 metres and park in the reception area on the right.
From Noosa
- On leaving Noosa, take the Eumundi Noosa Rd onto the Bruce Highway (M1) following signs for Nambour.
- Follow the M1 for approx 30 minutes, exit at the Nambour Connection Rd for Nambour.
- Continue along and turn right at the showgrounds onto National Park Rd continuing along Netherton St continuing along Mapleton Rd passing the hospital on the left.
- Continue along following the signs to Mapleton and Montville. Drive through Mapleton, Flaxton and Montville. Continue through Montville (you will pass Spicers Clovelly Estate on the right) following the signs for Maleny on Balmoral Rd.
- Turn right at intersection onto Landsborough Maleny Rd and continue for approximately 1 km before turning right at Obi Lane South, which is signed for Gardners Falls. (Note - Obi Lane South is located on a bend and is approx 8 metres after Thynne Rd. Please proceed with caution and place right indicator on).
- Continue down Obi Lane South for approx 1 km then turn right into Spicers Tamarind Retreat which has a green pillar each side of the entrance. Follow along the track for approx 200 metres and park in the reception area on the right.
From Sunshine Coast Airport
- On leaving the airport, follow the signs for Maroochydore onto the Sunshine Motorway (70).
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the David Low Way.
- Continue before taking the 2nd exit onto Bli Bli Rd.
- Continue along Bli Bli Road through another two roundabouts.
- Continue along Bli Bli Road onto National Park Rd continuing along Netherton St continuing along Mapleton Rd passing the hospital on the left.
- Then follow the above 'From Noosa' directions.
